King Nebuchadnessar and Babylon are just instruments in the hands of a Sovereign God to bring judgment upon Judah. However, they will be judged for their actions. There is a blessed hope for those who's God is their Redeemer.

Hear how Judah rejected Jeremiah's words of counsel and God's pronounced judgement on them and Egypt, again using Babylon as His agent of judgment. However, there is hope if repentance occurs.

We learn when God hands us hard things, we go back to what is familiar, even if it is bad for us because "a little control feels better than trusting God alot".

Jeremiah is singled out by the authorities for doing what everyone else was doing. Jeremiah's imprisoment seems as an injustice, if not for God's Sovereignty.
